eDissent is operated by Barrett, currently a second year law student at UCLA School of Law in Los Angeles, California. Barrett has a Masters degree in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena, California; and he earned his Bachelors degree, with majors in Conservation Biology, International Relations, and Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. Barrett lives with his wife Allison, who is a mental health therapist.
